Kathleen is a psychotherapist specializing in individual, couple, family, and group psychotherapy. She maintains a private practice in Bellevue, Washington.
Kathleen, a graduate of Antioch University, Seattle specializes in systemic forms of therapy. She is currently working in private practice with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, abuse, sexual dysfunction and sexual abuse, parenting issues, adolescent/teen stresses, and living with chronic illness. Kathleen also does group therapy. She and her co-therapist, Karuna Poole, ARNP work with clients in an ongoing experiential therapy group, providing clients with a structured setting to work on a wide range of issues stemming from dysfunctional patterns and outdated belief systems that interfere with happiness and life fulfillment.
In addition, Kathleen has presented at National conferences and to general audiences on topics ranging from Living in Compassion, Communication, Ethics, Character Development, Sex and Sexuality, Conflict and Communication, and Living with Chronic Illness.
Kathleen is a practical, interactive, psychodynamic therapist. Her treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. She incorporates a blend of conventional and alternative approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, she works with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals.
